Signatures – is a part of his fantasy, a personal gesture that he feels compelled to leave in other to be satisfied
Linkage Blindness – Several similar homicides have occurred, police might deny that they are connected. They might refuse to check and see if there are related murders in other jurisdictions.
Modus Operandi (MO) - reflects what the killer had to do to commit the crime
Signatures - is a ritual something the subject does intentionally for emotional satisfaction - something that isn't necessary to perpetuate the crime

Evidence – something that gives a sign of proof of the existence o truth of something, or that helps somebody to come to a particular conclusion
Investigation – an examination or inquiry into something, especially a detailed one that is undertaken officially, or the act of undertaking an examination
Forensic Scientist – investigate crimes by collecting crime scene evidence and using the natural sciences to analyze the data they recover
Crime Scene – a location where an illegal act took place, and comprises the area from which most of the physical evidence is retrieved by trained law enforcement personnel, crime scene investigators or in rare circumstances, forensic scientist
Serial Killer – a person who murders usually three or more people over a period of more than 30 days with a “cooling off” period between each murder
